Key Events and Dates - 2022
Following is a list of key events and dates that the Robotics Club has each year. Parents are welcome to attend the competitions. If your Robotics student chooses to go to a competition, they are required to use the school provided transportation that leaves and returns to WHRHS. However, as a parent, you are welcome to drive to a competition/event and attend on your own. There is no charge and it is a great opportunity to see what it’s all about.
Season Kick-Off - Saturday January 8, 2022
The Robotics Team learns the rules of the game planned for this year’s competition and what the design requirements of the robot will be. They get started by brainstorming ideas and starting the design of their robot.
Build Season - January 8, 2022 up to Bridgewater-Raritan Competition
Build Season starts with the season kick-off on Saturday Jan. 8. Meetings after school to work on the robot run generally until 7 pm or later during the week and typically from about 8 am to 4 pm on Saturdays.

Regional Championship - Lehigh University - April 7 - 9, 2022
The team must do well enough in the two district competitions to qualify for this event.
FIRST Championship - April 20 - April 23, 2022
Depending on the outcome of the Lehigh tournament, this will determine whether Team 41 makes it to Nationals.

End of Year Banquet - date to be determined
Normally held in May at the Chimney Rock Inn in Gillette, this is a fun celebration of the team's accomplishments, presentation of awards and gifts, naming next year's captains, and saying farewell to graduating seniors.
