Key Events and Dates - 2025
Following is a list of key events and dates that the Robotics Club has each year. Parents are welcome to attend the competitions. If your Robotics student chooses to go to a competition, they are required to use the school provided transportation that leaves and returns to WHRHS. However, as a parent, you are welcome to drive to a competition/event and attend on your own. There is no charge and it is a great opportunity to see what it’s all about.
Season Kick-Off - January 2025
The Robotics Team learns the rules of the game planned for this year’s competition and what the design requirements of the robot will be. They get started by brainstorming ideas and starting the design of their robot.
Build Season - January 2025 up to Mount Olive Event
Build Season starts with the season kick-off on the first Saturday of January. Team meets after school to work on the robot, they run generally until 7 pm or later during the week and typically from about 8 am to 4 pm on Saturdays.

End of Year Banquet - May 2025
Normally held in May at the Chimney Rock Inn in Gillette, this is a fun celebration of the team's accomplishments, presentation of awards and gifts, naming next year's captains, and saying farewell to graduating seniors.
